Our Name:  House of Oaks Ministries

House – we use the term house because Jesus refers to
the place of worship as “my house”, also 1 Peter 2:5a
says, that God’s people are being built into a “spiritual
house”; this house is Christ’s church.

Oaks – the term ‘oaks’ describes the material of which
the house consists, or our target population – the
people, as mentioned in Isaiah 61:1-3 they are:

·        the poor
·        the brokenhearted
·        the captives
·        those that are bound
·        those that mourn in Zion

“They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of
the Lord for the display of his splendor”.

Ministries – Isaiah goes on to describes these “oaks” as
a people involved in social, economic, and spiritual
development, and, as Isaiah 61:4-11 describes, they
shall:

·        rebuild
·        renew
·        restore

“You’ll have the title “Priests of God,” honored as
ministers of our God.”
